Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Steep 1 lb of honey malt in 2.5 gal of waterat 160 F for 45 minutes
2.
Bring wort to a boil
3.
Add 6 lbs of light DME
4.
Return wort to a boil and add the 2 oz of cascade hops
5.
After 45 minutes remove the cascade hops and add the 1 oz of chinook. Boil for 5 minutes
6.
At the 45 minute mark add the whirlfloc
7.
After 5 minutes remove chinook and add 1 oz of cascade and boil for three minutes
8.
Cool the wort to 70 F. Transfer to ferment bucket, add enough water to make 5 gal.
9.
Add yeast and aerate the beer.
10.
Let the beer ferment for three weeks.
