What a fuster-cluck (might have to be my new name for this if it turns out). The first mash step at 110 was supposed to make some chemical that increases the clove flavor in the final beer. It created some kind of gelatinous mass that the Brewer's Edge did not dig. Kept burning on the bottom and tripping the sensor.
