Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Heat 3.5 gallons of water to 160F and add grains. Maintain mash at 148-153 F for 60 mins. Raise temp to 170 F and sparge using 3 gallons at 170 F to make 5.5 gallons of wort.

Boil over high heat and add .5 oz of simcoe for 40 mins.

Add .75 oz of simcoe and Irish Moss for 20 minutes.
4.
Add Ahtanum hops and remove from heat. Total boil is 60 mins.
5.
Cool to at least 75 F and transfer to primary. Add years and aerate.
6.
Ferment at 75 F for 3 weeks before bottling.
