How did this turn out? My own blood orange recipe is good, but always looking for tips others use. Are you soaking pulp in vodka to prevent infection?
2/22/2018 6:19:04 AMThis will be the third year I've made this recipe. The first year we ran out just after blood orange season and had to wait. I learned to make 2 batches. They have all turned out really well. Yes. I use the vodka as a disinfectant rather than boiling. So far I've had no issues, plus I like to think it adds a little unique flavor, though I'm sure there's not enough to actually have much effect.
