Notes:

REVISED: Now i'm changing this recipe to be more in-line of a DIPA. I will re-brew this and update tasting notes to changes made.

Craftinbrews

Tasted on 8/27/2016 by Craftinbrews

Notes:

The aroma from the multiple dry hop additions worked great! It gave the beer a refreshing upfront aroma of citrus orange, lemon peel, ripe pineapple. The taste however was SUPER DRY and BITTER! It really hit a west coast IPA taste and that was not what I was looking for in this batch. I will change a few things. 1. Mash at a higher temperature (152F) 2. Use only .5 of a high to medium AA hop @ the beginning of boil to reduce bitterness. 3. Do a whirlpool of a large shot of hops (Citra and Galaxy) Hopefully this will leave more of the hop flavor in the final product to match the aroma and not so dry. I may add in crystal to get some malt and color.
