Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Fill kettle with 7 gal of water and raise temp to 164.
2.
Turn down or turn off the heat completely.
3.
Place bag in kettle and slowly add the grain. Remove clumps.
4.
Make sure the temp stays ~154 F. Cover with blanket.
5.
Mash for 60 min.
6.
Raise the temp to 170 F for 15 minute mash out.
7.
Use 2 gallons of water to sparge the grain bag.
8.
Squeeze the grain bag and remove.
9.
Take a gravity measure to get efficiency.
10.
Start the boil.
11.
Once the boil starts, add Centennial hops.
12.
At the 15 minute mark add the Willamette hops and Whirlfloc.
