Collected 1/3 of mash for single decoction boil for about 15 min. Then added about 20 extra min of boil (110 instead of 90) to compensate for lower than expected pre-boil gravity. Ran wort through daisy chained wort chillers and was able to get down to 49 degrees. Pitched 2L active starter straight into the fermentor and set the chamber to 50 degrees. Very active fermentation visible in airlock by next morning. Only hit 5.25 gallons though because of 2L starter...need to increase volume by that ...
