Notes:

Some of the same butterscotch aromas, light and not intense. However, the sharp bitterness on the sides of the tongue are all but gone!! Quite a bit smoother.

Notes:

Well carbonated, good head of foam, not much aroma of hops, cloudy orange, matches style color. I think initially smooth, then al little astringency. slight aroma of diacetyl. Probably needs some more conditioning time.

1.019 gravity orange in color, cloudy. very bitter. used side tap, works good, stand could be a little higher. some aroma of butter or caramel, will look up reasons.

Notes:

with the raw wort, I could detect a nice aroma of hops. Beer tasted pretty darn good even with out carbonization. Color was spot on. Secondary tap in fermentor worked great, got clear beer into keg.

Notes:

Tasted pretty mild. initially a little sweet but finishes neutral. Added 3 oz of Simcoe pellets to wort. Also purged trub from bottom. Color spot on recipe.

Notes:

Wort was slow to ferment, added heat on the second day. On Tuesday I noticed a ring above the water line but no bubbling action in gas lock.?? Opened fermenter, big head of foam, so closed it up again. On Wednesday I observed it was bubbling and appeared to be mixing in the fermenter. Slow start that's for sure.

Notes:

Initial taste left some astringency on the back of my tongue, however after some additional tasting the astringency was not as apparent and the hop flavor came through. As far as aroma goes, I can always smell some yeast, not sure what to do about this. good alcohol content.

Better now that it is carbonated and trub has been removed. Defiantly a hop kick to it.

Notes:

1.020 FG. Color right on. Taste initial taste has a little sweetness to it but finishes with a hop flavor...not overbearing, but defiantly there. Clear great head and Add to carbonation need to turn it down a bit as I set it a 38 psi to begin with. Absolutely no yeast aroma.

Drained off a little more trub. Measured SG 1.020. Still tastes bitter, hopefully that will be muted in the remainder of the batch.

Notes:

1.016 gravity. Dark orange in color. very bitter, but this is the beer that come out with the trub and hops in the first flush. My nose is plugged so smelling and tasting is limited.
