Made yeast starter with 1 liter of water with camden tablet and 6 oz of DME. Waited 2 days (made starter Sat Night) and then started brew session; (Mond night).
Heated 4.125 gallons of strike water to 164. Hit 153 instead of 152 but let it go. Added 1lb of crystal 20 instead of .5lb this time. Rested for 60 min. First runnings 3 gallons or maybe a hair over.
Heated 3.5 gallons of sparge water to 170. Didn't use all water, but sparged until reached volume of 6 gallons.
Crushed seeds of paradise before adding to kettle. After pitching yeast, ended up with 5 gallons in fermenter exactly. Original gravity 10.60. Primed with 4.7 oz corn sugar dissolved in 2 c water. Final gravity 1.012.
