Special Instructions

1.
Strike water: 3.5 gallons at 175 degrees into MLT, should settle to ~163 degrees
2.
Mash: Dough in, grain should settle to ~152 degrees (adjust as necessary)
3.
Mash: Scarification rest for 60 mins @ 152 degrees
4.
Sparge: Prepare sparge water, 4.5 gallons @ 175 degrees
5.
Vorlauf\Recirculation: Drain to boil kettle
6.
Sparge: Add 175 degree sparge water to MLT, grain should settle to ~155 degrees
7.
Sparge: Allow water\grain to mash for 10 to 15 minutes
8.
Vorlauf\Recirculation: Drain to boil kettle, up to 6.5 gallons (save extra to add later)
9.
Boil: 60 minutes, hop additions as noted above
