Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Add 13.5qt of 180° water to mash turn
2.
Stir water until temperature hits 170° - dough in grains
3.
Check temp after 10 min - it should be between 149° and 156°
4.
Mash for 1 hour
5.
Begin heating Sparge water to 200°
6.
After an hour check for conversion with tincture of iodine
7.
Clean the wort (Vorlauf) and Sparge with 200° water for 6 gallons of wort
8.
boil for one hour adding hops according to schedule
9.
Add wort chiller and Irish Moss 15 min before boil ends
10.
Chill wort and add to clean sanitizedd vermentor
11.
Aerate wort aggressively and pitch yeast
