heat 1/2 gallon water - warm, but not boiling
2.
add honey (2# for drier mead; 3# for sweeter)

add more water to get to 1 gallon
4.
add fruits and raisins to fermenter (berries, oranges, etc)
5.
cool to lukewarm / room temperature
6.
pitch yeast and shake well
7.
seal with airlock
8.
wait 3-6 weeks for fermentation
9.
bottle or keg - condition or don't ¯\_(?)_/¯
