This is a super hoppy, mildly bitter session IPA that is refreshing and perfect for drinking in the early afternoon on those hot summer days. It pours a thick white foamy head that shrinks down to an 1/8 inch as you drink, leaving sticky white lacing the full length of the glass. It's flavors are primarily grapefruit and pepper, which subtle hints of pine. At only 3.8% alcohol, this session IPA can be enjoyed pretty much anytime, but be prepared for the hops...

Notes:

Light gold color, 2 inch white head which dropped to 1/8 inch after 10 minutes, cloudy, lots of sticky lacing on the way down. Grapefruit Grapefruit, citrus, pine and pepper. Perfect carbonation. The amount of hops in this beer coupled with the low malt content leave a hoppy film in your mouth. It's not necessarily unpleasant, but it is blatant. For my first session IPA, I am quite pleased. The balance of bitterness to maltiness is nearly spot on, while the hoppiness is through the roof. It's a refreshing beer, and next time, I'll back off on the dry hop quantities, just a bit, to smooth it out.
