forgot to put bazooka into boil kettle. left more trub in kettle than usual to avoid slurry moving to fermenter. pitched yeast without starter after cooling Friday night. no action 56 hours later, so pitched second yeast jar (washed twice, 1-1-17) monday AM. fermentation was started within 12 hours of second yeast addition on 1-9. Fermentation pretty much complete 1-19. leaving in primary to clean up for a couple weeks at basement temps (low to mid 60s). moved to garage in Feb for carboy aging. temps raised to 50's during Feb. heat wave (20-25).

Notes:

This one's a keeper for the tap rotation. solid german kolsch flavor, minimal spicy character. Even has an ever-so slight stella taste to it, but a bit more character and mouthfeel. dark golden straw color with slight head retention. should please a variety of taste buds.
