Iodine test for starch was a little iffy so I let it go an extra 10 minutes. OG was low at 1.063. Not sure it was accurate because the haziness seemed to make the refractmtr hard to read. it will still be beer! Realize late at night that I can of course adjust the OG. (duh) So if my Maths are Mathing (nod to Nick Waggamon) Corn sugar and DME are both 46 points per gallon and so to increase from 1.063 to 1.074. Need 1.2 lb of extra fermentables. Added 4cups of water to a pot boiled. Took off burner, mixed in 0.6lb of DME and 0.6lb of Corn sugar. Boiled for 3 minutes. chilled and added to fermenter. Back to expected OG!
FG is 1.011 per Pete Drinks and final ABV = 8.25%
