(Include any important notes from brew day until tasting)
Brewing for the float trip. Mash temp came in at 153.1 and finished at 152.8, slightly higher than planned. Smooth brew day, the wort ended up being a beautiful light gold, smells and tastes great, gravity came in at 1.066 a little higher than planned but I just had 5.75 gallons into the fermenter. I must have boiled a bit more vigorously than normal. Took a gravity reading today and added the dry hop, the beer is likely finished at 1.010, it tastes good, hoppy and dry. I'll leave it with the dry hop for a week or so and then check the gravity and bottle if it's ready. Checcked gravity again today (1.010) and removed the dry hop, the sample tastes good, hoppy but not overly bitter, the aroma is very nice, full of citra and centennial notes. I'll bottle in a day or so, it'll end up around 7.5% ABV. Bottling today 04/18/2023, ended up with 53 bottles of beer, tastes nice looking forward to tasting it after it's carbed.
