(Include any important notes from brew day until tasting)
Yearly weizen for the float trip, although there may be no float this year, covid-19 has shut down the Buffalo River as 4/2/2020 with no scheduled date to reopen. Bad crush on the wheat, which I bought milled just so I wouldn't have to adjust my mill, I should have milled it again, but I rolled with it and my efficiency suffered, I came in at just over 6 gallons but well under my target of 1.053 at 1.048, irritating. The beer will be fine, otherwise everything thing else was pretty smooth, a bit high on mash temps but other than that a nice brew day. Took a gravity reading today, the beer is at 1.006 and is very light yellow and hazy. The sample tasted delicious, perhaps a hint of sulfur that should dissipate in the next few days. I'll bottle it sometime later this week. Bottled today, ended up with 58 bottles of very light hazy yellow beer. Tastes great, perhaps a bit lighter in taste and body that I would prefer, but it'll be a great warm weather beer.
