26 days in bottle. Good carb. 1" tan head, subtle floral aroma. Malt forward taste, some chocolate notes, smooth medium mouthfeel. Balanced minty bitterness lingers at finish with malty-chocolate overtones that stay present.
Notes: Tasted first sample after 13 days in bottle. Good dark golden brown color with tan head. Carbonation a bit on low side. Malty, caramel flavor, chocolate notes with dryer finish and a notable minty hop bitterness from Northern Brewer hops. Cannot detect much aroma from Willamette dry hop.
Just bottled this batch and the aroma from the Willamette dry hop was very nice. Sampled the beer left over from bottling and it has real promise! Nicely balanced, malt forward with chocolate notes and a minty hop finish.
