This is my first custom recipe for a red ale following BJCP, albeit, the SRM is slightly off.
OG came in at 1.045, reading some forums it seems like brewgr ABV calculator isn't ever correct. Active fermentation at 16 hours FG 1.008 ABV 4.85% Color is spot on at the moment. Tasting: color remained a dark red with a citrisy nose, a malty sweet almost mollasses body that tapers off for a roasted finish. Very pleased with the way this turned out. I did a second running Rusty IPA by adding 5lbs of DME I had lying around, 9.5% very citrisy and slightly bitter but a very nice brew all in all.
