Brew day 1/4/19. Tweaked a kit recipe (hop schedule, amt of dextrose, and ABV). 4.4 gallons of strike water (spring water) at 163F. 100-minute mash at 150F. Batch sparged: Vorlaufed, drained, then added 3 gallons of 170-degree water, then drained a second time. Started boil in 2 kettles to get more vapor loss / greater condensation. 100-minute boil. Did a 10-minute hop stand with flameout hops (in a grain bag), while draining wort from whole hops, which were in a mesh hop spider. Netted 4.4 ...
