Varmet vann, dyppet crystal malt til ønsket farge. Kokte opp. Tilsatte laktose og sukker samt litt sitron og ingefær. Kjølte ned. Gjæret. Tilsatte resten av sitron og ingefær etter stormgjæring. Gjæret på ca 18 grader. Tok over 14 dager. Bør gjæres varmere. Tilsatte ca 30g ingefær på dag 14 da det var svak smak. Tilsatte yttligere 600g laktose under flasking.

Mashed at 150F for an hour. Batch sparged, collecting about 4.5 gallons (added 1/2 gal. water into kettle, bringing it up to 5). Kettle soured 12/3/19 (4 p.m.) with 3 GoodBelly StraightShots. Pre-acidified with phosphoric acid down to mid 4s pH. Boiled 12/5/19 at 10 a.m.; pH was down to 3.4 at 10 a.m. OG = 1.063. Pitched Opshaug kveik from a previous beer; had active fermentation within a half hour. 12/7/19 activity completely ceased, so I racked the beer (1.020 gravity) onto 6 lbs of raspberry ...

Heavily altered version of a Spotted Cow clone. Named Spotted Tongue after my Asian dog's black-spotted tongue. Brewed 12/3/19. Mashed at 152F for almost 2 hours. Batch sparged; only took the first runnings. OG = 1.078. Pitched Opshaug Kveik at about 95F. Transferred to a secondary 12/5/19. Bottled 12/19/19. FG = 1.025 (about 7% ABV).

It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
