This is loosely based on a recipe from Brew Beer Like a Yeti. Rather than go down the road of staggered yeast nutrient additions, I will add 1.1g right away. It appears that many mead makers prefer full addition at 24 hours, 48 hours, and then half addition at 72 hours. I won't be boiling this as I am not worried about wild yeast/bacteria in the honey.

What Styles Are These Recipes?

It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.

There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
