Turned out horrible, used tea made out of 80 twinnings earl grey tea bags instead of water for mashing and boiling. Removed the tea bags for the mash and returned to boil for last 5 mins... Added honey to this as well, and the hops were very floral. Bottle carbonated and they were overcarbonated, over floral, high alcohol and it was gross.

This is Art's recipe. A very simple first beer. No hops since Art insists that you shouldn't add hops to your fist beer. I also don't know that much about the extract since nothing is labeled...

What Styles Are These Recipes?

It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.

There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
