buy more pbw and glass hydrometer tube Added 0.1 lbs of brown sugar to boil to boost starting gravity but it basically did nothing. Added hops in at 90mins accidentally. Added proper amount of pumpkin to mash, then added rest of can to boil. Cans were 15oz a piece. Mashed in at 153.5 and stirred every 20 mins or so.

It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
