2/23 gravity is 1025 so stirred it up a bit hoping for the best. Thinking of dry hop of Simcoe, Palisade and columbus possibly chinook 2/29 Purple 1 1/2 gallon added 5 oz dark brown sugar in 8 oz water. Red 1 3/4 gallon 1 oz Simcoe, 1 oz Azacca and 0.6 Columbus Green 1 3/4 gallon 1.0 oz German Hallertau, 0.8 oz Cascade, 0.6 oz Cluster and 0.3 oz Chinook Bottled 3/4 purple is black, red is 9 and green is 10 10 is going to competition. 9 ended up going to competition and won 1st at AHA.

It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
