English inspired barley wine with left over hops. Progress and Chinook. Maltbillt with Maris Otter and some specialty malts. Also DME, candysugar and honey. Yeast is reused from a Brown Ale we brewed in December. Made a 1liter starter the day before brewday. Secondary with half batch Brett C. and oakspiral, second half regular. After two weeks i saw a leak from the fermenter with brett, so i transferred them both into a single fermentor. 6 months of aging before bottling.

What Styles Are These Recipes?

It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.

There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
