This is a variation of my variation of the Soft N Juicy NEIPA from Brewfather site. My prior recipe was excellent, so I am using different hops and less water and 2-Row, with a bit more oats and Carapils for this recipe. The water is filtered, thus adding Gypsum, Calcium Carbonate and canning salt to enhance hops and flavor. The Flame Out hops are a hopstand at 170 degrees. The only hops that goes directly into the boil is the Citra and Mosaic at 15 minutes, and Amarillo with 5 minutes to flame out. I am using Verdant yeast instead of Nottingham this time. The hopstand instructions are in Brew Instructions. I am using an Anvil Foundry. I will pump and whirlpool the hopstand at 170 degrees.

Special Instructions

1.
Add 6.5 Gallons hot water to Anvil Foundry
2.
Add Gypsum, CS, CC to mash water.
3.
Heat Anvil to 157, Add 1# rice hulls, let settle
4.
Lower temp to 154, add grain, sit 10 min to settle
5.
Start pump, trickle 60, stir q 15 mins
6.
Lift basket, sparge 1.5 gl 175, start boil @ drain
7.
Boil, 0.9 Mosaic and 1 Citra at 15 min
8.
Boil 1 Amarillo @ 5 min
9.
Flame out, Cool to 170 degrees.
10.
HS & Whirlpool Amo, Mosaic, ElDo 30 min
11.
Finish cool down to 70. Whirlpool 10 min
12.
Transfer to fermenter, pitch yeast
13.
Ferment 14 days, dry hop 7, remove, 2 day dh
