Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
8.5 gal H2O, 2.0 g gypsum, 3.0 g calcium chloride, 0.2 g magnesium, 1.0 g NaHCO3
2.
Ascorbic acid to drop brewing water to pH of 6.0. Mid mash pH should be 5.3.
3.
Mash at 152 F for 15 minutes then power off and go to the gym for an hour.
4.
Bring temperature back to 152 F after the gym.
5.
Pull grain tube and let drain for efficiency hack, return grain tube back to the mash and mix thoroughly.
6.
Recirculate to clear for 15 minutes more.
7.
Mash out at 170 F for 10 minutes.
8.
Fement at 56 F for 10 days.
9.
Add gelatine and cold crash for five days.
10.
Transfer to keg an bright tank lager for four weeks.
