I brew this every Easter weekend to have on Memorial Day (5 weeks later). 12# 2 row 8 oz munich 12 oz crystal 40L 4 oz Biscuit malt total h20: 8.86g mash volume: 4.74 (@166F) sparge volume: 4.12 (@170F) Crush and combine all malts. Mash for 1 hour @ 153F. Drain and sparge; should yield about 6.5 gallons Boil for 1 hour Hop schedule: 1 oz Warrior, 1 oz Columbus @ 60 mins 1 oz Columbus @ 0 mins (10 min whirlpool - i dont have a pump so I stir a few times) Cool to pitching temp. Yeast: White Labs California Ale Yeast Aerate. Ferment lowwww and slowwww. 66F for at least 10 days. Target OG: 1060 Target FG: 1011 ABV: 6.4% Resiny, bitter, boozy. Great aroma. Each sippy sip builds on the cali deliciousness. Just a badass West Coast IPA.
