Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Create a yeast starter 24-48 hours before making wort
2.
Crush all grains
3.
add 1 tsp of Calcuim Chloride to water treatment
4.
Heat Strike water up to 165 degrees
5.
add 4oz of RiceHall to mash tun
6.
steep grains for 60 min. at 152-154
7.
batch sparaging using the water recomended
8.
Boil wort for 60 min.
9.
at 30 min. remianing in the boil add the (Columbus) hops (0.5oz)
10.
at 5 min. remianing in the boil add the (Citra) hops (0.8oz)
11.
at (flameout) 0 min. add the (Mosaic) hops 0.5oz - add after wort temp cool down to 170 degrees or less (Whirlpool for 10 min.)
12.
cool wort down for for yeast (70 degrees or less)
13.
day 2 of fermentation add (Citra) hops 2oz
14.
day 2 of fermentation add (Mosaic) hops 2oz
15.
ferment for three weeks (temp between 64-72 degrees)
16.
after fermentation it's time to bottle
17.
transfer wort from fermater to bottling bucket
18.
start up priming suger ( add to5 gallon bottling bucket)
19.
fill bottle and cap them( let stand in dark cool place for 2-weeks)
