Special Instructions

  1. Heat 8 qts water @ 160 degrees. Add to grain. Mash for 1 hour between 144 and 152.
  2. Sparge: 8 quarts of 170 degree water.
  3. Boil: (3) six inch long sprigs of spruce at 55 minutes.
  4. Ferment for 14 days.
  5. Bottle: Mix 9 Tablespoons of Maple Syrup with 9 Tablespoons hot water. Mix into the beer. Let bottle condition for at least 14 days.
  6. Final ABV will be around 5.7% due to the molasses.
