Boil DME "Wort A" 15 min. Add both Whirlfloc and wort-chiller at 15 min, and add HLME "Wort B" (1 gal. boiled water HLME) at flame out. Do NOT boil the HLME! This recipe entry is for calculation purposes only. Northern Brewer was entered as a wild guess as the sort of hops one might expect in a "Premium Canadian Style Beer" (Pilsner-Lager) kit, and to approximate the "EBUs" - btw 17 - 31. What Styles Are These Recipes?
It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
