This is an American wheat ale that will be flavored with blood orange juice and bourbon, and it was inspired by the blood orange, bourbon, and sweet tea slushie at Maxine's on Main in Morton, IL. The aim is fairly low ABV from the primary fermentation, as it takes a considerable amount of bourbon to get the flavor we're looking for, and that increases ABV.

Notes:

Well, I got tired of this one. The tartness of the blood orange completely takes over, and I've ended up with a boozy Sweet Tart. I'll end up doing this one over using less volume of a sweeter blood orange juice, which will allow the bourbon flavor to come through more easily. Not a bad first attempt, but not exactly what I was hoping to achieve.
