Special Instructions

1.
Activate yeast pack
2.
Heat 3 gallons of water to 161 F
3.
Add 7lbs of crushed grain to mash - temp should drop to 150 F
4.
Mash for 1hr @ 150 F
5.
Remove grain from kettle and rinse until run clear
6.
Bring wort to boil and add 3# of extract as the wort heats up
7.
Once boiling add 2 oz of saaz
8.
Boil for 60 mins
9.
Turn off burner and add 1oz of saaz
10.
Using wort chiller - lower temp of wort to 50 F
11.
Aerate wort by shaking
12.
Take gravity reading
13.
Raise volume of water to 5.5 gal
14.
Take gravity reading
15.
Pitch yeast and seal fermenter
