Brew date 04/13/19

Day prior: Yeast starter- Wyeast 1028 London Ale/ 1 can Fast pitch/16 oz water

Brew day: Soak rice hulls
4.
Mash/Sparge Calc = 8.6 Gallons total
5.
4 Gallon water 1 camden tab
6.
Dough in at 122 for protein rest - 20 minutes
7.
Raise temp to 158 for additional 60 minutes
8.
Sparge @ 168-170; approx 3.56 gallons (NOTE - Next brew try 3.0 Gal)
9.
Start 60 minute boil (Session 1- extra 20 min boil to lower gravity)
10.
Add .5 El Dorado hops at 60 minutes
11.
20 min remaining: put chiller in wort to sanitize
12.
15 min remaining: Add irish moss and yeast nutrient
13.
*Cool to 180* prior to whirlpool hop addition
14.
Turn off hose so cooling stops
15.
Add hop spider w/ 1.5 El D & 2 Mosaic 20 min
16.
Swish spider and stir frequently
17.
Turn hose back on and chill 65
18.
Transfer wort and hope spider to fermenting vessel
19.
OG 1.042 (lower than goal of 1.045
20.
OG 1.042 (lower than goal of 1.045)
21.
4/22/19 FG Corrected 1.019, 4.86 ABV
22.
Siphon into korney keg
23.
Add dry hop additions of El D & Mosaic and pressurize
