This is the Austin Homebrew Clone of Pliny the Elder, supposedly from Russian River Brewer Vinnie. I'll be brewing this on Friday 7/5/13. The O.G. of the recipe is listed as 1.072 and F.G. is 1.011 for an ABV of 8% pre-priming. Mashing at 150 will hopefully get this big beer that low. Did some reading up on Pliny and it seems they've added Amarillo to the mix of hops, since I have some I might at a little to the dry hop. I made a 1.25 liter starter with WLP001. Split the dry hop into 2 separate additions about 10 days and 5 days for the last.
