Light bodied pale ale smoothed out with flaked oats and finished off with a bunch of hop flavor from late hop additions, without overwhelming hop bitterness. Unassuming hops, much like the iconic Spud Webb, was the objective of this hazy ale.

Notes:

Best brew to date. Aroma is that of a true IPA, spot on. Body is clear pale yellow, with a great bubbly head forming which leaves a nice lacing on the glass upon consumption. Taste, will not as pure juicy as intended, has a great tropical, soft citrus taste that doesn't overpower, but rather compliments the light body of the beer. Tasting notes as predominantly that of pineapple and mango, which go down smoothly with very little bitterness. Overall a very good brew that drinks like a cheap beer but with great tropical IPA notes. For next session I would maybe up the hops for a more prominent flavor and add some flaked barley to add some breadiness to offset the additional hops.

Notes:

Adding to above.... initially brewed the 1 gallon recipe but did not account for additional sparging water, ended up with1.5 gallons of wort. To amend situation, replicated the last 20 minutes of recipe in .5 gallon of water. Hop and dme ratio was constant. Added this to fermenter along with initial 1.5 gallons of wort. Only ingredients not in proprer ratio as a result of this nonsense are the bittering hops and flaked oats. Also worth noting is that it took hours for wort to teach pitching temperature. We'll see how this turns out.....

Notes:

Fucked up water measurement, this recipe should be for a one gallon batch.
