From: https://pohjalabeer.com/cellar-series.html Odensholm BA 9% Pinot Noir Barrel Aged Rye Porter Collaboration between Põhjala and Lervig. Released only in bottles. A complex rye porter, aged in Pinot Noir barrels. Taste: The first taste explodes on the tongue with plums and redcurrants. These linger on the back of the tongue whilst also being slowly replaced by darker fruits - the tartness of blackcurrants mingling with sharp blackberries. Sweet dark sugar is present, but only in a supporting role, rather than making the beer cloying. Finally, when the glass is empty, you are left with the rich aftertaste - a reminder of the velvety, elegant body and refined flavours of the beer and pinot noir oak in symbiosis. Appearance: Black with a deep red hue and a creamy tan head that lingers briefly. Nose: Rich red wine - sweet blackcurrant jam intermingles with pipe tobacco and sour black cherries. Some vanilla peeks out, rounding the edges and leaving an inviting aroma of red berries. Malts: Pale Ale, Rye, Chocolate Rye, Carafa II Special, Special B Hops: Northern Brewer, Chinook OG 20.8° ; FG 4.7° ; IBU 65 Serve 10–14°C
