Notes:

Hot damn. This beer turned out quite well even though it could have been a mess. Appearance is dark brownish red with high clarity. Light tan moderate head, ok lacing. (highly carbonated at first, eventually faded.) Aroma is complex: tart cherries, earthy chocolate, alcohol. Flavor is slightly tart with alcohol notes which lead to a rich malty sweetness. Balanced cocoa notes fade to suggestions of fig and raisin. Balanced bitterness, moderate carb. (now,) medium body. Actually a pretty darn good beer, I thought it was interesting. I think this beer has some fusel alcohol notes, (apparent in flavor and aroma and also I get a wicked hangover??) Keep fermentation temperature under control next time and get FG a handful of points lower and I think it would be nearly perfect.
