Special Instructions

  1. Mashed in at 153 F. Chilled to 69 F into fermenters.
  2. Fermented in fridge at 60 F for first 3 days.
  3. After 3 days, raised temp 1 F until reached 67 F.
  4. Kegged at day 11.

Brewdog333Did this come close to Franzikaner? I love that beer, but can't get a yeast strain close enough

Brewdog333I came close with Heavenweisen. Tried one before with acid malt but didn't like the results. Now I have a tasty version called Heidiweisse. Cheers!

Brewdog333Correction- my closest was called German Hefeweizen es dur gud bier. My mistake. Heavenweisen was an excellent recipe but tailored towards my taste buds. Heidiweisse is also very close to Franz. Love the German style.
