Using 1968 in an ipa as an experiment. Mashing low due to low attenuation of yeast.

Shook the starter I made from my last batch, a stout, which was a mistake because it was so carbonated that it acted like a warm coke. Sprayed everywhere. OG was a tad low but better efficiency than last batch.

I could feel the fermentation through the bucket walls! Two hours after pitching.

Airlock activity almost done. I shook the fermenter and activity restarted.

Hydrometer sample 1.020 yesterday. Shook fermenter. Will warm with heat pack and re check at one week.

Hop bitterness is salty. Half carbonated.

Three weeks in the keg. It's come along every day and is finally awesome. I'd cut the first hot addition to .5 CTZ and make it a first wort addition. Head is good, body vs hops is good. Hazy.

Leg kicked yesterday. Wife likes this one. Going to brew again but this time, I'll let the chlorine vent overnight and add a little gypsum.
