Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Mash at 66C for 1.15 hrs
2.
Temp up to 70C for 15 mins
3.
Temp up to 77C
4.
Wort recirculated through the grain bed x3 then run off
5.
Sparged at 77C
6.
Bring to boil then hops in as above
7.
1/2 Protofloc added for last 15 mins. of boil.
8.
Wort chiller inserted for 2 min in boil to sterilize
9.
Chilled water passed through wort chiller for 25 mins. (20C)
10.
Final hops in at 75C and left for 10 mins
11.
22lts collected
12.
Yeast added at 25C SG 1.060
13.
24 hrs later fermenting slowly
14.
Racked 2 days after brewing. SG1.022
15.
Dry hopped with Simcoe in secondary 4 days after brewing
16.
After 10 days. Last dry hops added (22nd May)
17.
Heavey trub in barrel
18.
Racked after a week, 28th May, and cold crashed for 3 days
19.
Bulk primed with 60 gms dextrose then bottled. (SG1.011)
