Mash Steps

Special Instructions

  1. Mash 1 hour @ 66C
  2. Then to 70C for 15 mins
  3. Temp up to 77C
  4. Wort recirculated through the grain bed then run off
  5. Sparge with water at 77C. Left to stand for 10 mins.
  6. On to boil - Hops in as above
  7. Britewort added for last 10 mins. of boil.
  8. Wort chiller inserted for 2 min in boil to sterilize
  9. Chilled water passed through wort chiller. (22C)
  10. Final hops in at 80C Stand for 10 Mins.
  11. Grapefruit peel added & left for 10 mins then wort run off
  12. Made up to 5 gals with cold water.
  13. Yeast added at 22C SG 1.057
  14. 3 days later Racked at SG 1.018 & first dry hopped plus peel
  15. Racked off first dry hops and zest 3 days later (/18)
  16. Second dry hopped plus zest added SG1.014
  17. Cold Crashed on 24th April - 7 days after brewing
  18. 2 days later SG 1.0012 - bottled
  19. Primed with 600ml pink grapefruit juice and 25g Dex.
  20. Test 500ml bottles with an additional 20mls garpefrruit juice
