Vanilla Blonde Ale with coffee. My wife had some Vanilla Cream Ale with coffee at a brewery and requested I try making one so here it is. It does not really qualify as a cream ale but fits into more of a blonde ale. I utilized hops that I had left over. Going for a beer with some sweetness.

Special Instructions

1.
My pot boils off about 1.5 gallon per hour so gather up 5.5 gallon for the boil.
2.
Add hops as indicated.
3.
At last 15 minutes add whirloc, vanilla beans and lactose.
4.
Once beer has gone to secondary add coffee and vanilla extract, adjust to taste, check every couple days and rack off coffee grains when coffee taste has reached desired level.
5.
Coffee addition suggestion is to add during cold crash of wort, in my case I am using ground coffee. additional coffee or vanilla can be added prior to kegging or bottling.
