Special Instructions

  1. partial mash, my equipment can handle 4 gallons and i am filling a bourban oak barrel so need five gallons for secondary in oak
  2. Filled oak barrel with water 12/19/17 added 32 fl oz tart cherry to primary let barrel sit two days then fill with porter
  3. transferred into barrel 12/21/17 , lesson learned residual Co2 and lots of it . blow off tube attached
  4. Bottled 4/15/18 fg 1.018 2.5 volumes

Notes:

Bourbon on the nose , perfectly balanced with the porter super nice ,knowing it’s unrepeatable is frustrating super smooth , no hint of alcohol creamy head nice lacing on glass just special , sometimes you get lucky this time I did
