Heated strike water to 180 and overshot strike temp by 7 degrees (162). Stirred & recirculated for 10min until it was 155. For future reference, aim for a strike temp 5F higher than suggested. Did two sparges to collect the full 13 gallons. Weak boil, never got rolling. Left 3 quarts of wort behind in the kettle. Almost all of the hop sediment was left in the basket. Ended up with 84% brew house efficiency according to Brewers Friend. Chilled to 85F and put in fridge overnight.11/6/17 ...

No final volume issues! Ended up with ~0.75 gal left in the kettle, and probably put too much into the fermenter (5.8 gallons or so). Nailed my OG of 1.057. Need to start using 7 gal fermenters.Had a blowoff overnight. Having trouble keeping the bung in the carboy.Future self: set Brew Kettle Trub Loss to 0.8 gallons
