Mash Steps

Special Instructions

1.
Mash 3 hours. Grain in @ 55C for 1/4 hour
2.
Then 1/4 hour @ 60C then up to 66C for 2.5 hrs
3.
Temp up to 77C for 15 mins then sparge at same temp.
4.
pH test of mash - 5.0
5.
Sugar, salts and citric acid added just before boiling point
6.
Centennial hops in after 15 mins.
7.
Other hops in as above
8.
Irish Moss (Britewort) added last 10 mins
9.
Wort chiller inserted for 2 min in boil to sterilize
10.
Flame out last hops in after 5 mins wort rest
11.
Left for 10 mins then wort chiller turned on
12.
Chilled water passed through wort chiller for 30 mins. (22C)
13.
Wort run into fermentation bin and paddle aerated
14.
Made up to 5 gals(UK) with cold water.
15.
Yeast added at 20C SG1.044
16.
48hrs later SG 1.034
17.
4 days later dry hopped- Citra hops in steralised bag. SG1.014
18.
Left for 16 days.
19.
Filtered & Bottled days after brewing on 5/6/17 (SG1.008)
