A trial saison. Brewing notes: - There's about 3 litres of wastage in the grainfather after pumping wort into the fermenter. About 1 litre can be saved by tilting the boiler at the end of pumping. - 18L reduced to 14L over a 90 minute boil

Special Instructions

Mash with 13 litres (1:4.4 grist as the grainfather needed extra water to rise above the top perforated plate)

Sparge with around 7 litres (to bring total pre boil volume to 18L)

Post boil was 14L in this trial

Around 3 litres remains in the bottom of the boiler, tipping it allowed a further 1 litre to get into the fermenter - so 2 litres wastage
5.
Recommend a slightly larger grain bill just so the mash grist can be 1:3.5 for example
