Notes:

Last bottle left from the batch. The head retention on this batch was amazingly long. The initial head dissipated to a low, beautiful lacing that lingered, giving it such a nice velvety soft mouthfeel that allowed the flavors to be savored but left wanting more. The taste and aroma are still the same as the initial notes above. I will be brewing this again but I will add gourmet coffee from Fire Family Roasters to add some complexity to the aroma and taste.

Notes:

This by far was one of the best Imperial Stouts I've brewed. Aroma: roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, mild spicy, earthy hop aroma. Taste: nice coffee like bitterness, semi-sweet chocolate, very drinkable. Changes i'd make: 1. The ABV was a bit low for the style. Next time add 2lb. of 2-row (15 to 17lb.) 2. Pitch 2 packets of yeast because this was a late starter. 3. Let the bottles sit for 3-4 weeks to fully carbonate.
