It took an hour to boil 23 L of cold water

Added extracts (Home make it stout malt mix: house blend of dark malt, dextrose, corn syrup, liquorice powder/coopers ruby porter starter) and hops for a 40 min boil
3.
Took off the boil and skimmed hops, added lactose, cooled in ice bath
4.
Added yeast and racked into fermenter

OG=1.044
6.
25/6/16 evening: Put fermenter in water bath @ 18 C for fermentation
7.
27/6 evening, happily bubbling away
